New forms of democratic participation are needed to counter the challenges that most democracies face, for example a lack of trust in institutions and increased polarization. This panel discussion will bring together experts and practitioners from around the global to discuss ideas on how to make democracies more inclusive and increase their legitimacy. We will look at different innovations from Germany, Brasil and South Africa with the “European Democracy Hub”, “CONSUL”, “es geht LOS” and South African activist Kumi Naidoo.
