Much has been written about refugees. In "Shadow Game", however, young people themselves tell how they experience their refugee journey. For three years, the authors Eefje Blankevoort and Els van Driel kept in touch with the boys via Whatsapp and on location. "A game" - as the boys call it bitterly ironic - with an open outcome.

The film discussion will be held in English.

Filmtalk: While unsettling levels of violence are becoming the “norm” at the EU's external borders, we discuss the legitimacy of these pushbacks and the conditions of unaccompanied migrant minors at the frontier of a cruel game.
