Hanaa Hakiki works as a Senior Legal Advisor at ECCHR, a lawyers' NGO which addresses grave human rights violations through transnational legal interventions. Her work focuses on border rights since 2014, with a focus on litigating push backs at EU's external borders in front of international courts. In 2011 she qualified as a lawyer (solicitor) in England, where she had specialised in litigating State violence, detention and institutional racism.
