Dr. Tania Mancheno is a freelance researcher and lecturer in political science and geography at the University of Hamburg. She is also an associate member of the research unit Hamburg's (post-)colonial heritage / Hamburg and early globalization. Her work focuses on decolonial and Afrocentric feminist theories, the phenomenon of postcolonial urban violence, and European approaches to colonialism.
Most recently, she published Behind the Walls of Paris: the Inhabited History of the Space in the Parisian Banlieues (Published in the anthology Doing Tolerance: Urban Interventions and Forms of Participation).
