Dr. Tania Mancheno ist freie Wissenschaftlerin und Dozentin für Politikwissenschaft und Geographie an der Universität Hamburg. Außerdem ist sie assoziiertes Mitglied der Forschungsstelle Hamburgs (post-)koloniales Erbe / Hamburg und die frühe Globalisierung. Ihre Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind dekoloniale und afrozentrisch-feministische Theorien, das Phänomen der postkolonialen urbanen Gewalt und der europäische Umgang mit Kolonialismus.
Zuletzt veröffentlichte sie Behind the Walls of Paris: the Inhabited History of the Space in the Parisian Banlieues (Erschienen in dem Sammelband Doing Tolerance: Urban Interventions and Forms of Participation).
