Oliver Holtemöller is Vice President of the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) and Professor of Economics at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. At the IWH he heads the Department of Macroeconomics. His research focuses on macroeconomic simulation and forecasting models and fiscal and monetary policy. Important current areas of interest are climate protection policy and the sustainability of public finances. Within the framework of the Joint Economic Forecast of the economic research institutes, he is involved in semi-annual reports on the state and development of the economy for the Federal Government.
