SILBERSALZ Festival in the Zoo – Talk: "Metamorphose of Love"

Butterflies are counted among the most beautiful insects and – with just under 16,000 species identified in about 130 families and 46 super-families – they are the most species-rich insects after the beetles. The Halle-based photographer Steffen Schellhorn already devoted himself to these fascinating creatures at an early stage in his career, researching and documenting them intensively. He has had a crucial role in the discovery and identification of new species, with two of them even bearing his name. In his talk, he will speak about the "love lives" of butterflies and other insects. His talk is accompanied by unique recordings to some extent from the butterfly and insect world. Before and after his talks, Steffen Schellhorn is available at his information stand to answer each and every question the visitors may have.
