Viktoriia Kamska

Viktoriia is a doctoral student of the Dynamic Locomotion Group of the Max-Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart, Germany. Her research project focuses on studying the bio- and neuromechanics of a hypothesized mechanosensor organ in birds.

Between 2014 and 2016, Viktoriia followed the research-oriented double degree MEME Erasmus Mundus programme in Evolutionary biology, which split her studies across two different universities: Uppsala University (UU) and Ludwig-Maximillian-University of Munich (LMU). Viktoriia’s interest spans from evolutionary and functional vertebrate morphology of extinct and extant vertebrates to biomorphic design and bio-inspired art. Up until 2016, she was professionally engaged in rhythmic gymnastics.
