For the opening on 15 June 2022, the brass band "Frohe Zukunft" from Halle will play in front of the installation "Fantastic Planet" on the Ziegelwiese. Afterward, the open-air cinema will be screened there. Greetings will be given by Egbert Geier (Mayor and Patron of the Festival), Rainer Robra (Minister of State and Culture of Saxony-Anhalt), Henry Alt-Haaker (Robert Bosch Stiftung) and Donata von Perfall (Director Documentary Campus). Start: 6:00 pm.

“Ahead of us, the future. #unitedbyknowledge". From 15 to 19 June 2022 Halle (Saale) will be the setting for various events when science education and entertainment go hand in hand at the SILBERSALZ Festival. The programme includes exhibitions, concerts, a theater play, film screenings, and talks. One highlight: the giant, illuminated installation "Fantastic Planet" by Australian artist Amanda Parer awaits you on the Ziegelwiese. At the festival, direct exchange with experts is possible and science becomes interactive. At the youth programme in Passage13, young people from Halle explore the world. Admission to all events is free. 

The first festival guests have already been confirmed, including the astrophysicist Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch, the doctor, and moderator Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen, the economist, transformation researcher, and sustainability expert Prof. Dr. Maja Göpel, filmmaker Maartje Nevejan and renowned historian Prof. Dilip M Menon. The Festival programme will be online from mid-May.
