Everything in nature is interconnected. Small changes can have unexpected consequences. The annual spectacle of salmon returning to their spawning grounds affects far more than just the bears. Our impact on vegetable crops goes back for centuries, while light pollution has been a problem for insects for less time, but increasingly so. And the biodiversity crisis, despite its relevance, has so far received too little attention.
