Xavier Aaronson is a Webby Award-winning documentary film director and producer, best known for his Vice documentaries that explore the culmination of all things strange and influential in the world of modern science and technology. He’s traveled from the northernmost city in the world to some of the deepest mines of South Africa in search of human-centered stories that put into perspective the wonderful and twisted future that we’re all rushing towards. The latest project that he produced is a feature documentary film called The Most Unknown. It follows nine scientists traveling around the world to uncover unexpected answers to some of humanity’s biggest questions. It was directed by Emmy-nominated and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Ian Cheney and advised by world-renowned filmmaker Werner Herzog.
