Inner Child a.k.a. Sara Niksic

Inner Child a.k.a. Sara Niksic is a marine biologist, musician and bioacoustician. Her research has taken her across the world’s oceans, focusing on marine mammal culture and communication. Besides having a master’s degree in marine ecology and nature conservation, she also finished music school and different courses in electronic music production. Sara is the founder of Inner Child project that connects the worlds of science, art and music. She also runs Inner Child Music record label through which she released a few albums of her own music, as well as compilations on which she collaborated with some of the top producers in the electronic music scene. Her first release won the ‘Best Compilation of the Year 2019’ and several other awards. In 2020 she was voted the ‘Best New Artist’ by Psybient.org community poll, with her 2 EPs getting in top 5 ‘EP of the year’. Since then she continued experimenting across different styles of downtempo psychedelic music and presenting her work at various music and science festivals around the world. After years of living abroad, she is now back in her homeland of Croatia, where she is creating music and other magical stories in her studio by the sea.
