Multiple award-winning film director. During the early eighties, Lorenz worked as a journalist and director/producer for German Television (ARD/ZDF), Austrian Television (ORF) and independent production companies. From 1985 onward, he began writing and directing longer documentary films, covering a wide range of subjects around the world: from profiles of artists to dramatized documentaries on the Old Testament, from travelogues to controversial social issues; Many people Lorenz makes films about are outsiders, non-conformists. More often than not, they are self-taught individuals who live out their dreams against all odds.
More recently Lorenz has written and directed a series of award-winning documentaries on environmental topics. He is based in Munich, Germany.
