Kerstin Lohse-Friedrich has been Head of Communications at the Robert Bosch Stiftung since April 2021. The Kiel native studied sinology and political science in Heidelberg, Leiden and Beijing. She completed her MBA at Quadriga University in Berlin. The radio journalist reported for ARD for around 16 years, including from the ARD studio in Shanghai and the ARD capital studio in Berlin. In 2013, she moved to Stiftung Mercator and was part of the founding team of Europe's largest China think tank, the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS). There, she headed the communications department, was responsible for external and internal communications as well as for all MERICS events and the membership programme.
