Erinma Ochu

Senior Research Fellow, Digital Society, University of Reading School of Geography & Environment

Erinma is Digital Society Fellow and Senior Research Fellow at University of Reading. Trained in neuroscience and storytelling, Erinma investigates immersive learning, and how people differently perceive, make sense of and steward their environments. Erinma is funded by Wellcome / The Natural Environment Research Council. Erinma has produced, advised on and curated immersive experiences at DocFest and in a prior role as Lecturer in Science Communication and Future Media. An EAVE graduate, Erinma worked initially in science TVat BBC, before joining B3 Media as executive producer. Erinma is co-founder of Squirrel Nation, with artist and designer, Caroline Ward. Squirrel Nation are former Manchester International Festival/ Jerwood Fellows with work screened at AND, Aesthetica, Tate Exchange, Imagine Science, Brighton Digital and Shuffle festival. In 2018 they were recipients of the INIVA/ Stuart Hall Library Visual Arts residency. Erinma is a champion of open research and global Figshare/ Digital Science Ambassador.
