Prof. Dr. phil. Beate Ditzen is Head of the Institute of Medical Psychology at Heidelberg University Hospital. As a professor of medical psychology and psychotherapy, her research and teaching is focused on the psychobiology of attachment, the influence of social relationships on the hormonal stress response, and the neuroendocrine factors of couple interaction.
