SILBERSALZ at the Long Night of Science 2026

On 3 July, the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival will be part of the Long Night of Science in Halle (Saale) with two interactive installations that bring together science, technology and media art.

Color to Life (XR-Installation, Peter Ha & Antonin Ricou, Switzerland, 2024)
📍 Leopoldina
🕢 7:30–11:30 pm

Developed as part of the Possible Bodies art and science programme at HEAD – Genève in collaboration with the Swiss Paraplegic Group, this XR installation expands the way we perceive our surroundings. Guided solely by head and eye movements, visitors create virtual worlds that transform the physical space into an immersive experience.

Sonolume (Installation, Loomaland – Denis Bivour & Florian Giefer, Germany, 2026)
📍 Campus / Courtyard by the Geological Garden | Von-Seckendorff-Platz, 06120 Halle (Saale)
🕢 9:15–9:30 pm
   9:45–10:00 pm
 10:15–10:30 pm
 10:45–11:00 pm

Together with Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, SILBERSALZ presents the audiovisual installation Sonolume. Twelve interactive light panels translate sound into pulsating light and vibrant colours, creating a unique sensory experience that makes the connection between science, technology and media art tangible.

We are delighted to join Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the Leopoldina at this year's Long Night of Science, inviting visitors to experience science through art, interaction and emerging technologies.
