Production Manager Wanted
To support the planning and delivery of the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival, we are looking for a Production Manager to join our team as soon as possible.
Your responsibilities
- Plan, organise and oversee the production of the festival's various events, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Plan staffing requirements and coordinate schedules for project coordination, guest management and ticketing.
- Develop, coordinate and monitor production schedules and event timelines.
- Coordinate festival locations in close collaboration with the project and festival management teams.
- Liaise with public authorities involved in the permitting process (e.g. public order office, police and fire brigade).
- Source, coordinate and manage external service providers and suppliers, including contract preparation and administration.
- Plan and coordinate event catering.
- Recruit and coordinate festival assistants and volunteers.
- Collaborate with local partners and funding institutions while building and maintaining new regional partnerships.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the festival office, including office infrastructure, procurement of office supplies and coordination with service providers, IT support and landlords.
What we're looking for
- Degree in cultural management, event management or a comparable qualification.
- At least two years of professional experience in production or event coordination.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- A proactive, responsible and hands-on approach.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good technical understanding.
- A collaborative mindset, motivation and a good sense of humour.
- An established network in Halle (Saale) and the surrounding region.
- Valid Class B driving licence.

Guest Management Coordinator (Part-time)
For the preparation and delivery of the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival, we are looking for a Guest Management Coordinator from early September to mid-November 2026 (part-time).
Your responsibilities
- Organising travel arrangements and managing hotel bookings for festival guests
- Preparing information mailings and welcome packages
- Managing guest accreditation on site
- Welcoming and assisting festival guests
- Serving as the first point of contact for guest enquiries
- Maintaining guest databases and documentation
- Working closely with the Festival Production team
We are looking for someone who has
- Ideally lives in Halle, Leipzig or Berlin
- Experience working at festivals or cultural events
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- A friendly, communicative and proactive personality
- Good written and spoken German and English
- An independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style
We offer

Festival Office Assistant – Ticketing
For the preparation and delivery of the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival, Documentary Campus gGmbH is looking for a Festival Office Assistant (Ticketing) from 1 September to 4 November 2026.
Your responsibilities
- Managing events within our ticketing platform
- Preparing and maintaining registration lists
- Supporting the distribution of festival information materials
- Preparing and sending invitations and information mailings
- Managing the festival ticket desk and training festival volunteers
- Coordinating admission for festival events
- Supporting the Guest Management team
We are looking for someone who has
- Ideally experience in festival work or ticketing
- A friendly, communicative personality
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Good written and spoken German and English
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- An independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style
We offer
