Denise Hruby is an award-winning climate and environment journalist, as well as an educator and public speaker. Her work has appeared on the covers of The New York Times, National Geographic Magazine, and the Washington Post. In 2018, she became a National Geographic Explorer. She was awarded a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard in 2023 and currently writes about climate change for the Miami Herald while teaching journalism at Florida International University and at Harvard.
