The 8th SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival has come to a close – and once again, it set a new attendance record! 🎉

More people than ever joined Germany’s largest festival for science and media: 
45,000 visitors explored, discovered, and celebrated over five inspiring days (October 29 – November 2)
packed with exhibitions, films, talks, and live events.

Under the motto “Feel the Spark!” ✨ 120 events across the city ignited curiosity, creativity,
and countless bright moments where science, art, and society met.

The Motto of the SILBERSALZ Festival 2025

A spark may be small – yet it has the power to ignite something extraordinary. It symbolizes the moment of connection: when ideas ignite, atoms collide, or people come together in conversation.

Under the motto “Feel the Spark!”, the SILBERSALZ Festival 2025 celebrates these transformative moments – at the intersection of science, art, and society.

From quantum computing and artificial intelligence to renewable energy and biotechnological innovation, modern technologies are reshaping our world. But they also do more: they spark dialogue, open spaces for encounter, and inspire us to think in new ways.

“Feel the Spark!” stands for energy, empowerment, equal opportunities for the future, and the collective strength to drive change.
