When bombs fall, it’s not only human lives that are thrown off balance – animals also struggle to survive. The documentary “Tiere im Ukraine-Krieg – Überleben in Trümmern” sheds light on an often overlooked side of war: the silent suffering of domestic, farm and wild animals – and the moving stories of people who bring them a spark of hope.
Following the screening, a film talk with Anastasiia Onufriv (Ukrainian activist based in Halle) and Arthur Opel (Animal Aid Ukraine) will take place, moderated by Thomas Beyer (MDR).
