Prof. Dr. Gerhard Reese

Professorship for Environmental Psychology Universität Koblenz-Landau

Gerhard Reese is an environmental psychologist - that is, his research focuses on the interplay between human behavior and what happens in the environment - in the broadest sense. Specifically, he investigates, for example, why people find it so difficult to behave in a way that protects the climate, and what psychological and social conditions favor solidarity-based, environmentally protective behavior. He is particularly interested in the role that social norms have on us and how they shape our sense of efficacy. He is Professor of Environmental Psychology at the University of Koblenz-Landau.
