Sandra Huning studied spatial planning in Dortmund and Grenoble (France) and received her doctorate in 2006 at the Technical University Berlin, Faculty of Planning Building Environment. Since 2009 she has been working at the Department of Urban and Regional Sociology, Faculty of Spatial Planning, Technical University of Dortmund. Her research fields, which she also represents in teaching, are urban and gender studies as well as planning theory.
