Dr. Bettina M. Bock is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of German Language and Literature at the University of Cologne.
With her research she is focussing on text and discourse linguistics, language and politics, sociolinguistics and language didactics. She deals with inclusive and exclusive aspects of language and researches the intelligibility of language, with a focus on "easy language". In addition, her research focuses on the language of the GDR and the language of state security.
