As public debates around human progress grow, conflicting visions of the future from the arts and the sciences emerge, each with implications we may not yet be aware of. Drawing on insights gained through her Sensory Storytelling works, Karen Palmer, the Storyteller from the Future, will explore the necessity for creators to access their human consciousness to create worlds and transformational experiences for participants through digital storytelling.
Karen Palmer is both an Award Winning International Artist and Public Speaker. Her immersive film experiences combine the genres of film, A.I. technology, gaming, art and behavioural psychology and even parkour philosophy. She is the creator of RIOT, an emotionally responsive film, which uses facial recognition and A.I. technology influencing the narrative storyline, making the users aware of their subconscious behaviour and enabling them to consciously build new neurological pathways in their brain, to override automatic behaviour responses and create new ones.
