Dr. Esther Ngumbi is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and a Senior Food Security Fellow with the Aspen Institute, New Voices. She is a published author, an activist, mentor, speaker, a science communicator and a champion for change around the issues of hunger, gender, education, youth activism, agriculture, sustainability, and public service and has published articles on those subjects for outlets including USA Today, The Conversation, Aljazeera, SciDev.Net, and Inter Press Service.
