✨ SILBERSALZ 2026 – Ich, verbesserlich? ✨

The 9th SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival is coming to Halle (Saale)!

From October 28 to November 1, 2026, SILBERSALZ will once again bring science, media, art, and society together for five days
of films, exhibitions, talks, immersive experiences, and live events across the city.

Under this year’s motto “Ich, verbesserlich?”, the festival explores health in all its dimensions – from physical and mental well-being, prevention, fitness, and sleep to longevity, medical innovation, and our growing drive to optimize ourselves.

How much can – and should – we improve ourselves? How can science and technology help us live healthier lives?
And where should we draw the line between improvement and optimization?

SILBERSALZ invites everyone to explore, experience, discuss, and question 
– bringing science closer to everyday life and creating space for new perspectives.

Volunteers Wanted! Want to Join Us?

We are still looking for support in various areas during the festival:

● Support for discussions, exhibitions and the youth programme
Period: 28 October – 3 November 2026

● Support for the conference programme (good English skills required)
Period: 27–29 October 2026

● Drivers and airport pick-ups
Transfer of our guests from the airport/main railway station to their hotels and festival venues
Required skills: Category B driving licence, safe driving skills and good English

Alternatively: Welcoming guests at the airport and helping them navigate public transport
Period: 28 October – 1 November 2026

● Set-up and dismantling team
Setting up and dismantling decorations, catering equipment and furniture (tables/chairs), technical support, etc.
Period: 20 October – 3 November 2026

SILBERSALZ @ Psy4F & S4F Congress

On June 13, 2026, the SILBERSALZ Science & Media Festival will be part of the 4th Scientists For Future Congress and the 6th Psychologists/Psychotherapists For Future Congress in Leipzig.

We are proud to present the documentary "Climate in Therapy" by director Nathan Grossman.
Following the screening, Juliane Sim (group therapist and member of Psychologists for Future,
among others) will moderate a discussion about the film.

The Motto of the SILBERSALZ Festival 2025

Under the motto “Feel the Spark!”, the SILBERSALZ Festival 2025 celebrates these transformative moments – at the intersection of science, art, and society.
