Older forms of social order relied on shared time and space, gradually fragmented by individualization and decentralization of the post-Soviet era. We live today in a decentralized society, where trust and media have to be reexamined within this new context. The talk will explore the sense of sharedness generated by the media and how social institutions shape the notion of trust in times of “information disorder”. How we can diagnose the state of public trust in media today? How does this affect key political issues?
