Heidi McDonald is a narrative designer, musician and game designer from Pittsburgh, PA. Women in Gaming’s Rising Star for 2013, her work has won recognition from groups including Serious Play, the International Conference on Game Jams, and the IGF. Author and editor of Digital Love: Romance and Sexuality in Games, Heidi has published and lectured extensively on romance and sexuality, and emotional engagement, in games. She is also known for her collection of magnificent hats and for dressing as her pirate alter-ego, Lizzie Bones. She has dedicated her career to the idea that games can do amazing things for human beings.
