SILBERSALZ SCHOOL CINEMA - Film + Discussion (24-26 June 2020)

After the successful start of the SILBERSALZ Schulkino, with 600 young visitors*, we invite 40 school classes from the region from grade 8 on three following days, from 24th to 26th of June 2020, to film screenings. Talks with invited scientists* will focus on current scientific and global issues that influence our lives and our future. Environmental issues such as biodiversity and climate change will play a central role.

The documentary and feature films for the school cinema will be selected at the beginning of next year.
Topics of the previous school cinema issue included: Love at first Byte? How will man and machine live together in the future? ("Hi, AI") Is there life outside our solar system? ("The Living Universe") What happens to European electronic waste in Ghana? ("Welcome to Sodom").

SILBERSALZ SPRICHT + SILBERSALZ EXHIBITION (25-26 June 2020)

The SILBERSALZ SPRICHT series offers current research insights and the opportunity to exchange views on their work directly with scientists. Two discussion formats are specially designed for school classes and will take place in our Festival Centre on 25 and 26 June 2020.

Since the beginning of the festival, the SILBERSALZ EXHIBITION has been inspiring with its diverse, interactive installations. School classes will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition exclusively on 25 and 26 June 2020.

Admission to all events is free. For limited capacity, the motto is: First come, first serve.
