We are honored to announce our special guest at this years’ SILBERSALZ Festival: As part of the "The Moon & Beyond" program, Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch will publicly talk about "Das Rätsel des Anfangs - The Mystery of the Beginning” on Saturday, 22nd of June! Harald Lesch is a well-known physicist, astronomer, author, and tv-presenter who gained wide public popularity with shows like "Leschs Kosmos" broadcasted on ZDF, where he explains scientific phenomena in an understandable and entertaining manner – on TV and YouTube.

The excitement doesn't stop there: SILBERSALZ will host the national premiere of "Pleasure and Pain. The Science of Love" by Judith König. This documentary shows the fascinating science behind what love is, what it does to us - and whether it is good for us at all. The Premiere will be attended by Judith König (Filmmaker of "Pleasure and Pain"), Tristan Chytroschek (Producer, a&o buero filmproduktion), Ann-Christin Hornberger (Commissioning Editor, ZDF/Arte) and Brian Earp (Bio-Ethicist, Yale University).

Not-to-be-missed at SILBERSALZ are the Sci-Art-Adventures for everybody! Already confirmed is the installation "Invisible Beauty" developed by Croatian artist Filip Borelli that uses UV-light to let the audience literally touch the physics of black holes. Additionally, the underwater robotic installation "ArchaeBot" is shown in cooperation with the European Media Art Platform and as a preview of Werkleitz Festival 2021. British artists Anna Dumitriu and Alex May explore what ‘life’ might mean in a post-singularity, post-climate change future.
